I’ve really missed the catalog. There’s nothing like grabbing a cool glass of iced tea and a tool catalog while taking a break from a project.

I can’t tell you how much money you have lost just in my group, by not having a catalog. It was something that got past around the worksite, and was pretty much worn out by the time the new one would show up. When we needed a tool it was, where’s the ToolCrib Catatlog, now it’s who’s got it cheaper Home Depot or Lowes. We all miss it, please bring it back.

I understand website ranking, trying to get your stats high, trying to save money by not printing catalogs… but I must tell you, you have to think about your buyers. Both my dad and father-n-law (who used to spend thousands with your company) now spend zero. Think of how many others you are missing. So, you have to ask yourself, how much are you really saving?

Bring back the catalog! It used to be so easy to just flip through a few pages to compare different brands and models of the same tool. Now I spend much to long clicking through various pages without being able to do side by side comparisons. In the end I usually don’t get around to buying the tool from you like I did in the past as it is seems easier to just go to the Lowes or Home Depot and look at boxes.

I Love Tool Crib of the North Catalog long befor you acquired it. We live in the woods and our internet is the old Dial Up and so slow it drives me nuts. Thats one of the big reasons I prefer a catalog.
Our internet is so slow watching paint dry is faster.

i miss these catalogs, thats how i got gifts and needed tools. its ashamed to have to go to ebay and local stores to just look when i could look at home and buy from catalog knowing the order would come to me. you need to rethink this as all the letters being sent to you. i hate going out to buy tools we need your catalog,

No I won’t email Gfrench to get your catalog because “I really want one” I am the customer and have been for ten years. You go where I want you or get another customer. You are a commodity. I can get your stuff anywhere. I buy for convenience. For me it is a catalog and a good 800 number. It is one of the few areas you can add value as a middleman and you let it go….great thinking.
I knew it was a matter of time before the catalog would go away. I know you just can’t wait to drop that catalog cost to the bottom line.
My guess is that the catalog will return someday as a brand new plan to get back to our “roots” kind of thing. The damage will be done of course. You would be wise to add the costs of getting back into the catalog business as part of getting out of it.

While an online catalog is the trendy thing to do, there are those wood workers, and construction firms that keep catalogs with them and lying around so others can check out deals and new equipment. Most of us dont tote around a laptop, or might not have the internet at home… how are we supposed to look at the catalog in our leisure time?… I understand the wanting to go after the internet generation, but dont discard the rest of us in the process…

I do miss having a toolcrib catalog. In the past I have purchased many items through toolcrib because of the catalog. I order a lot of stuff on the web, but only after finding what I want in catalogs. The web is only good if you already know what you want. My guess is your lost sales will be more than the cost of printing a catalog and I know how expensive catalog are since I work for a large catalog printer.

All I can say has already been said by the other letters that are printed here. I just totally agree that you need to bring back the paper catalogue. Its cost is smaller than the cost of all the lost customers that are going somewhere else due to youre lack of consideration to us,your customers, who buy from you and will take our business elsewhere. BRING BACK THE CATOLGUE-please.

Bring back the catalog. Most of us men prefer to grab the catalog while on break at the site or at home in the “reading room.” Online catalogs are NEVER as good as a good ole print catalog.

I agree with all the above shoppers. It was easy to shop at home, now, by the time I go to the different stores to shop and compare, I seem to buy what ever is at the last store…tired of shopping.

I’ve often wanted to buy something from ya’ll online but couldn’t find it on your website.(either I didn’t know the exact name of the item or didn’t know where to look) With the catalog, I’ve found stuff I didn’t even know I needed until I saw it, or stuff I didn’t know they made. I have money in my pocket that is burning a hole, bring back the catalog and you can have it!!

Gotta have an updated catalog guys! I about have the last tool crib catalog you sent me torn to shreds (My wife thinks I hold on to things too long). Anyways, as a full-time carpenter I am often too busy to shop on-line, or in a store for that matter. It is on the WC (print lingo) that I get my shopping done, and without a Tool Crib book in my hands, I can’t even do that. “As soon as you can” would be a blessing to all… well, except the next guy in line.

I am writing for my husband, becuase he doesn’t have the patience to learn how to use the internet. Therefore, he would enjoy nothing more than for you to bring the catalog back so he can have a beer and shop away while enjoying the comfort of his recliner/pool chair. You lost atleast $2000 in our family just in Christmas gifts! Instead we bought hunting stuff. I our family if it’s not construction it’s hunting! Bring back the “Playboy,” for men & women hard at work!

My husband is not computer literate and he asked me to go on-line and order him a catalog. He will be disappointed to learn that there is no catalog at this time. Maybe this could be the impetus for him to learn the internet.

Bring back the catalog! I am also a wife of an internet-challenged man who has begged me to get him the new catalog. I keep logging on hoping you would say “It’s back!” Unfortunately, echoing all the above comments, you are losing thousands (tens of thousands) by not having the catalog. Just tonight, in this household alone, I would estimate the loss at around 700-800 dollars. That is just one night and a man who likes to buy tools!!! Think about it. He won’t learn to use the internet- he’ll go to a company that prints a catalog.

I’m right there with the rest of the women…a computer illiterate husband. He’s not had a catalog for quite some time and has gone through withdrawal and accused me of not requesting one for him. I just now learned that there is the possibility of there never being one again. We MUST have one. In the meantime , if anyone has an “extra” catalog they wouldn’t mind parting with….we could use it.

I am also the wife of a catalog lover. He has tried, numerous times, to place orders over the toolcrib.com site, but they almost always go uncompleted for some reason or other. It is frustrating to him…….and then I hear about it!!! Tool Crib…..send back your catalog and RESCUE me!!
But seriously, he likes to brouse the catalog for ideas which he cannot do online. You have also lost money from us.

I don’t mind useing the internet but I’m just like all the other guys out there. We are in some type of trade to be buying tools from your catalog,so we are working 10-12 hours a day and when we come home we don’t have time to sit in front of the computer,and if we did we would probably fall asleep. At least with a catalog we can thumb thru it at work. Please bring it back, please please!

I wish you would bring back the catalog so I don’t have to do the tool shopping for my husband. He loved having it on the coffee table and when ever he needed something he would just look it up and call and it was done! Now he really doesn’t have the time to look everything up on the computer and so I am the one doing it, not really a big deal, but still… for anyone there is something about having the picture on paper in front of you and doing it “the old fashioned way” sometimes! PLEASE, make our lives a little easier, and make it easier for us to do business with you!

I am old school still. I like the paper catalog. The internet is fine for searching for a particular item, but not good for sitting in my recliner and browsing with the TV on in the background. Please bring back the paper catalog.

The tolcrib catalog was the one I looked forward to most and rarely did I not order something from it. It was great to read while I was eating lunch. Haven’t ordered from toolcrib since it went away. Please bring it back..I’m tired of buying all my power tools at Lowes.
