I also own several grizzly machines, my biggest ones consist of a monster 1200lb 12" 3hp spiral cutterhead jointer, a 800lb 17" 5hp bandsaw, a 1000lb 20" 5hp spiral cutterhead planer and waiting to recieve a 1000lb 12" 5hp table saw. Just absoulutly love these machines!!! And looking foreward to getting my knew one. I am slowly replaceing every other non grizz machines I own with knew grizzlys. I've had great results with thier machines for my picky precision woodworking. Not trying to brag, but I don't let so much as a cheap bolt get away on a precision industrial machine for what I'm looking for. And for what I've spent, that's the way it should be. Recomend thier machines to anyone!

I have a shopfull of Grizzly tools 19" bandsaw ,20" spiral head planer,10" cabinet saw , 3Hp shaper, 8" joiner ,24" sander ,6"x 48" sander. I am very pleased with all of them. When I got my band saw it had fallen over in the truck and was damaged. I called Grizzly and told them that I would fix it if they would send me the parts and within a week I had the doors a can of paint to fix a scratch all the emblems and stickers for the door. I have never had any problem with customer service they have always been very helpfull with any problem I have had. there has only been a couple. I have no complaints on their large tools. I am a Grizzly fan for sure! I however dont care for their hand tools. They look cheap.

Grizzly equipment may not be the best but is OK for the price. But customer service is a complete turn-off such that I'll never deal with them again. Pay a bit more and get a better product which the company will support.

They sold me the wrong size log splitter and absolutely refused to exchange it until I filed a small claims action. The very day they received the complaint in the mail they folded and did what was reasonable and exchanged it for the right model. The company customer service policy is: STONEWALL it until forced to do the right thing. Company policy: sue us and we'll run.

I HAVE ALWAYS BOUGHT DELTA MACHINERY UNTIL I MOVED TO CENTRAL PA AND DISCOVERED GRIZZLY.
I PURCHASED A 10" LEFT TILT CABINET SAW AND LONG FENCE BY SHOP FOX.
LOVE THE SAW AS MUCH AS MY PRIOR DELTA, EXCEPT THE FENCE HAS PLASTIC(POLYETHYLENE) SCREWED TO IT AND IT IS WAVY. NO GOOD, INSTALL BIRCH PLY WITH FORMICA.
I PURCHASED A GRIZZLY 6" PARALLELOGRAM JOINTER AND LOVE IT. I'D PUT BOTH OF THESE TOOLS UP AGAINST A DELTA ANY DAY AND IF YOU KNEW HOW PARTICULAR I WAS ABOUT THE QUALITY OF MY TOOLS, YOU'D TRUST MY STATEMENTS ARE ACCURATE.
WHILE WERE ON THIS SUBJECT,
MY LAST UNISAW HAD A BROKEN TRUNION UPON ARRIVAL
BUT WAS TAKEN CARE OF. MY CURRENT DELTA 14" BANDSAW SHAKES DUE TO UNBALANCED WHEELS.
I THINK WHAT IT BOILS DOWN TO, ONE IS GREEN AND ONE IS GREY, CHOOSE HOW MUCH YOU WANT TO PAY FOR PAINT AS THEY ARE ALL MADE IN THE SAME PLACE.
CHINA.

I bought the G0661 table saw last week, and picked it up at the Bellingham showroom. All in all, I give this saw 4.5 out of 5 stars. Assembly instructions were first rate. The quality of the saw is superb. The staff at the Bellingham store were very helpfull. This is an excellent saw and I would recommend it to anybody. Too many good things to say, so I'll focus on the bad. 1) the screws that hold the magnifying glass over the ruler on the fence sit a little proud of the table surface. I am pretty sure the fense is mounted correctly, so any workpiece over a inch or so wide rests on the screw heads rather than sitting flat on the table. I fixed this by replacing the screws with a flatter head machine screw.
2) The fence is a bessimer clone, and works well. I would have prefered to have t-slots or arrachment holes in the face to attach jigs or a taller face. It is pretty easy to detach the face and replace it with a custom face however.
3) I don't recommend the router table accessory. It has clamps to hold ther router, it requires some custom work to attach to this saw (it is not really made for the G0661) and requires a lot of effort to adjust or change the bit. I decided to return the table, and build one that will accept a router lift instead.
3) Because of the Riving knife (I guess) the insert has a rather large gap behind the knife blade. This gap looks bigger than it needs to be, and when cutting very narrow stock (cheek cuts on raised panels, for example) the work piece tends to get held up in this gap. A better zero clearance solution would be nice.
All in all, I am very happy with this saw.

The Absolute worst in Customer Service

If you value customer service and the ability to easily return defective or mistakenly shipped items you do not want to deal with Grizzly. I have been a Grizzly customer for almost ten years and most of the time things go okay. The equipment is decent quality for a good price.

When things don't go okay you are up a creek. You are now in the world where the customer takes all responsibility and returns can take months to complete correctly. For me this is a huge deal. I have a policy not to deal with companies that infuriate me. I am a pretty mellow, fair minded person. When dealing with a company makes me want to pound my fist against the table I stop dealing with them. Grizzly is one of these.

we have a grizzly cabinet saw at work i saw alot of birch plywood thru it never had a single issue with it but like any mass produced items they are not all going to perform the same.check around before you buy any new tool. cheap and quality never add up even.i dont care who makes it

I've had my GO490 8 inch jointer for apx. 2 years. The only thing that has happened is that a set screw on the motor shaft key vibrated loose On the motor pulley and spun on the shaft.I put it back together and it runs fine. Compared to my 15 inch Delta plainer, and my Jet table saw, I would say its about on par with both as far as quality and it's price is about 60 percent of a new Delta or Jet jointer. But that's not what impressed me about Grizzly machines.I work part time for a guy who cuts down trees and has a sawmill and kiln.He has had his Grizzly 15 inch( $850.00 ) plainer since 1995.We run an unbelievable amount of 8 quarter oak, cherry, maple and ash thru this plainer. Some are 16 ft. to 18 ft. long, for hours a day.He told me he has been doing it since 1995. This jointer was not intended to be abused this way.I'd say this thing has paid for it's self more than a few times over. Almost anyone I've asked about Grizzly machines has told me that they are more than satisfied even though they paid less.A few high end woodworking shops I know of use the entry level machines and get good every day use out of them. As far as shipping goes I think they know we are going to order before we do. No one I deal with is faster than Grizzly. I have no negative comments about them.
