StudSensor finds the edges of wood and metal studs up to 3/4 inch (19 mm) deep. TruCalÆ technology provides instant and accurate one-touch calibration each time StudSensor is used, automatically adjusting to the density and thickness of your particular wall. When the TruCal® LED lights up on the right side of the sensing head, calibration is complete. Bright LEDs and an audio signal indicate when you have detected the edge of a stud behind the wall.
