Did you watch the WoodWhisperer’s Shop Tour video (4th down… called the King and His Castle)? He described certain specialized tools there, tools that make very particular jobs much easier.

Like today’s deal of the day… an oscillating spindle sander that’s $99.99 shipped for a limited time.

1) Wilton 99179 1/3 Horsepower Benchtop Oscillating Spindle Sander $99.99 Shipped

Here’s what one Amazon reviewer thinks:

“What a pleasure it is to sand on this oscillator, especially if you’re accustomed to chucking a drum sander into your drill press. It’s powerful, quiet and has a generous worktable, along with throat plates to match each size drum. Everything stores neatly on board the sander and keeps it ready to use.”

Considering that this tool just dropped almost $50 in price I don’t think it will stay that low for long. If you want it for $99.99 (it normally sits at around $150…) then you need to get on it.

Here are some more details for you:

* Benchtop oscillating spindle sander; dual-action spindle spins and oscillates in 5/8-inch range
* 1/3-horsepower for quick stock removal; integrated dust-collection system
* Features lock-off switch with removable key
* Includes sander, throat plate, 5 sanders
* 20 by 14-inch worktable; 27 pounds; 3-year warranty

This price will drop soon. Buy Wilton Spindle Sander $99.99 now from Amazon >>

  1. Bob Jennings Says:

    I’m trying to find a source (manufacturer) for the Wilton Oscillating Spindle Sander Model no. 99179 which I believe was sold by Sears as a Craftsman a few years ago. I need 1/2″ x 4-1/2″ thru 3″ x 4-1/2″ sanding sleeves and 3/4″ thru 3″ rubber spindles and also a 1″ I.D. spacer plate. That sander I believe was also sold as a Grizzly Model no. G0538.
    Hope you can help!!! Bob
